“Let no corrupt words proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” Eph. 4:29
At camp this week, our speaker made it abundantly clear that if we love god, we will love one another.
If we're on a diet, we go to the scale to see how much we lost. If we don't loose anything we can always find an excuse. But the scale doesn't lie, and your stuck with what you made.
The greatest commandment is Love the lord your god, with all your heart soul mind etc.
the second is similar. love your neighbor.
if we say we love god, our scale is loving our neighbor.
if we love god, it will pour out of us unto loving our neighbor, which will refuel our love for God, it's a never ending cycle.
So we say we love god, but is that what the scale will tell you? Or will you have to come up with excuses?
So our challenge is that whatever time of the say it is,we remember it is 4:29.
Time to speak nothing but what will uplift others.
Because love is kind. (among other things)
So, I ask you...
What time is it?
=)
