Though this blog title may seem depressing, im hoping that this blog won't be, 'cause its not ment to be. haha.
Anyway, I've been pondering on the word "invisible" and how some people love that no one can see them, and that some people hate that people can see them. Celeberties is an extremity of not being invisible, there's no escaping the light even if they wanted to. High school's kinda like that to. You get to a point where youve made a bunch of friends but what happened when you want to shrink back to being the new kid who no one talks to? What happened when you want to walk down the hallway and you don't want even one people to wave, say something, smile at you, you just want them to ignore you. But don't you know theres someone that will never leave you and you should be glad about that?
I know I walk down the hallway and I see people I've never seen before, head facing the ground, moving fast to their next class. Then I see the person behind them, loud and obnoxious in a huge blob of friends who everyone wants to get a word in with.... What makes a person admirable? It it there clothes? their personality? their hair? What did they do that was so great?
Honestly, and here's my point in this whole blog, theirs one person I feel that everyone in the school should crowd around, admire, and love more than anything in the world. That's god. He created us. He loves us. He knows each of us personally. No "invisible" kids going to walk down the hallway right past him without him knowing who they are, what troubling their heart, and love them despite everything that's happening.
No one is invisible, because even if you don't believe in god, there will come a time that you will and you will realize he hasn't left your side at all. You can follow your own path, but you will get to a dead end, and when your get there all your going to do is cry out to God. Maybe not right away but sooner or later it will happen.
So the next time your walking down the hallway feeling invisible, or maybe following someone everyone else is, or maybe hoping your invisible, i hope we realize that the one we should be following, the one you dont want to leave you alone, the one you want to know you is standing right behind you, never letting you out of his sight, just waiting for your to turn around and follow him.
So , I'll walk down the high school hallways, knowing I can't get away from god, and I don't ever want to.
Great post!
