God is.
Think about the times you say you love someone and ask yourself these questions. Would you trust them? Would you watch over them 24 hours out of the day? Would you be willing to put aside sleep, your friends, your activities, and your life whenever they call? Maybe you could say yes to everyone of them questions, but I have two more, Would you be willing to send your one and only son to die for their sins? Would you be willing to forgive and continue to love them no matter what they did to you? And when I say forgive I mean from you heart, to mean it from deep within you. Now this is a concept I'm sure no one gets. There comes a point that no one would be willing to send there only child to die for everyone else, out of love for us. Love for the criminals, the mentally disabled, the normal, the outsiders, and the people who think no one loves them and no one could ever love them. In first Corinthians chapter 14 verse 1 is says "Follow the way of love." Well I'm one of them people would think it's impossible to love them types, but what I've had to learn is that God is. God is. That's such a deep statement. It means God is love, God is hope, God is truth, God is real. God is. I guess my point in this rambling post is that, love is hard... You parents they may not love you, your boyfriend, your best friend, your teacher, you may not love you... but all of that is insignificant when you think about God's love. God loves you more than all of them times infinity... We can't even grasp his love, I don't know if anyone can, but believe in that love, TRUST in that love, FOLLOW the way of love... and with that who can stand against, who can stop you. Your past, don't let it hold you down because God has a future prepared for us and since our future is in his hands, its probably better than any of us can image.... For me, I have to keep reminding myself of this.. My past beats me up a lot and i don't see potential in my future when it does but I read this verse the other day that helps me during these rough times... Psalms 9:9-10 reads "God is a safe-house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times. The moment you arrive, you relax; You're never sorry you knocked" God is everything and more to me during bad times. God is.

Good post. Good reminder. You're right, sometimes we forget the promises of God's love that he writes for us. We need to open up his love letter (the Bible) and read the reminders of how his love endures forever.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Cassandra, I see potential in your future despite what may have happened in your past.
